Crossfit = not for me

I've always been quiet about my views on Crossfit mainly b/c no one cares, nor asks. But this morning, I had a chat with a co-worker about Crossfit and the ironically, stumbled upon this article on Gawker.  It's a great read.

I have to agree that Crossfit is great ... but screw Crossfit. I've done it once and watched it a number of time and I'm good thanks.  I have no need for the competition of lifting weights with others. I guess the competition out of my system when I was an athlete in college ... I feel no need to bring that back, especially with weights and strange exercises.

And the most important part of the article ... you will get hurt. Yup, you'll get hurt.  Non-athletes trying to do athletic things will equal in injuries. And sometimes really nasty injuries.

For people like my cousin, Crossfit is the greatest thing on Earth but for this guy, I'm going to stick with working out like regular people and having my trainer quietly kick my ass.
