Yeah, its cold ... but we live in an indoor world

Friend of mine was complaining about how cold it is outside and I just couldn't stop laughing at her. Granted, it is 12 and will be 5 later today, but its not like we live in an outdoor, unheated tent. Each morning, we both walk to our cars in a parking deck; then get into a seat heated car and drive to another parking deck where we walk 30 yards into a heated elevator bank. I mean it sure is cold, but I was exposed to the cold for all of 4 minutes.  Now, if I used public transportation ... ok, let's be honest, I'll never use public transportation again so no need to even finish that sentence.

Anywhoo, saw this video on YouTube about milk, bread and it made me think of my dad growing up. Anytime there was going to be snow, we had a panic about getting enough bread, milk and eggs in case the movie Day After Tomorrow actually broke out. I do remember a week with no power in 1993 that was a bit tough, but Grumpy figured out a way to create an igloo in the backyard to ensure nothing in the fridge would spoil.

Good times ...
