So long Landon ...

I understand why the Dirty German left Landon off the squad ... but I don't have to happy about it. Landon is an American Football icon and did amazing things for the national team. It's a shame he has to go out this way but we should all remember the great things he did for us ... especially in the last world cup.  Jurgen doesn't understand public opinion and he doesn't need to b/c of his massive contract that goes beyond the 2018 WC. The sad news, Team USA probably won't score a point in the Brazil and they will lose fans that won't come back.  The sport needs to do the little PR things to keep the momentum going ... cutting your national treasure is just poor form.

The Sky Is Falling ...

Well, not literally unless you count the number of COO's and top officials at major banks that have committed suicide recently. That's right Jed fans, I'm back on the conspiracy theory kick.

The following blog (link) mentions the 12 deaths in the last 8 months and even provides details into the suicides. While they do call out that some don't seem out of the ordinary and natural causes, a few of the other deaths are just down right strange ... like the man that committed suicide by shooting himself with a nail gun 8 - 9 times.

You throw those suicides together with Matt Drudge's tweet about, "have an exit strategy" and all the sudden you have a combo conspiracy theory straight outta left field.

Since Jed likes to ramble, here are a couple of theories and ridiculous ways I was able to connect the dots or potentially create some amazing movie plots or video games:

1. WW III Option - The bankers are committing suicide because they know that the global economy is about to collapse. (Oh and Matt Drudge's tweet could or could not be about pending financial doom - link) The Chinese real estate market will be the end of the Chinese economy which in return will cause the global markets to collapse and a run on money. People will run to go grab worthless cash, which won't be there and global chaos will ensue.  Since the majority of our military is deployed, riots will ensue and cause general chaos and a potential level of mass riot not seen since NYC in 1863.  
1. Yeah, I think I was playing some Battlefield 4 and watching Too Big To Fail when I cam up with that theory.  Super far fetched and possible the makings of an amazing movie that's a combo of Too Big To Fail and World War Z sans Zombies. 
2. Anarchist Option - The bankers are being killed off by members of an anarchist group tied to the 99% ... they are tried of the fat cats and slowly taking them out. 
1. Not sure I even by this terrible theory but there's a movie with a similar premise so I guess it could happen.  The nail gun death would support this theory but honestly, I'm thinking its more global and sinister. 
3. James Bond Option - Which leads me to the biggest / craziest theory that was born when I was watching Skyfall this weekend. Basically, a global huge terror organization is behind all of it.  They are destabilizing the economy to create a collapse and their agents will swoop in and take over governments around the world.  They are also behind major catastrophic events (Ferry sinking, MH370, Ukraine) in an attempt to further destabilize the World and take the attention off their move for global domination. People are committing suicide (or being killed) b/c they know about the plot and are aware of the deadly circumstances about to fall on the World. 
1. Another movie plot that I think is amazing ... but others probably find highly laughable. And I'm pretty sure that if you asked my English friends, they would say, "yes, great theory. It's called American Foreign Policy and your evil mastermind is Obama." Not sure I agree b/c I hope that a global criminal mastermind would be more Javier Bardem / Mark Strong and less Obama.

So there you have it Jed fans ... a couple of completely insane options trying to connect the dots between some unrelated events. Or are they unrelated ... and is the World quickly coming to a tipping point? 

What really happened to MH370?

Well, it' Saturday AM, it's early, the dog is up and running around and Retired Sorority Girl is nursing a hangover somewhere in Athens after a girls night at an old bar.  In other words, I'm up to early, home alone and don't have anything to do ... so instead of work, let's play the conspiracy theory game.

So what really happened to MH370 - here are is a highly fantastical theory that involves many things that aren't related:

• Years ago, a Russian Ship disappeared near the Seychelles and that ship was carrying "precious" cargo, which was believed to be a new type of nuclear device (which sounds ludicrous but the following bullets are awful so just bare with me)
• A few months ago, a few Navy SEALS were killed aboard the Maersk Alabama in Kenya. Rumor has it they were guarding some cargo that was picked up in the Seychelles and gave off a radioactive signal (my source is some bad reports on CNN and Sky News)
• The two SEAL died due to a respiratory issue, heart attack and heroin.  If you read online (see lots of conspiracy blogs and some strange local newspapers) they state the SEALs were normal people and not drug addicts.  Also reports they were CIA and on a black ops mission ... either way, I've met a few SEALs and they weren't heroin addicts so therefore, I'm going to say all are that way (gotta do widespread stereotypes for fun and accuracy - and yes, mom, that's sarcasm)
• Cargo from the Maersk was onboard MH370 ... if you read this "news outlet", from India maybe, they state that it was a nuclear device that the US capture onboard the plane - http://greatgameindia.wordpress.com/2014/03/16/mh370-mystery-suspicious-cargo-death-of-2-ex-navy-seals-aboard-mv-maersk-alabama/ 
• Many outlets (none of the major US or British) or tabloids state that MH370 was diverted to Diego Garcia where the cargo was taken by the US government and then destroyed.  
• Now, how the plan was diverted and who took it down is still a mystery, but I love the theory where the 20 people from the engineering firm where actually CIA operatives led by the ex-SAS New Zealand solider (guy who left his ring and watch for his wife in case he didn't make it back).  They then wore masks, changed the altitude of the plane which caused the rest of the passengers to pass out, fall into a coma and quietly die. Tons of movies have this theory and I suppose it could have happen. I kinda wish it was more like the last Batman where Bane and some others hijack the plane in mid-air from a C-130.
• The other theory, which seems much more plausible, is that the 777 features an auto-pilot that can be leveraged from another location ... aka, remote flying. Which, sounds very James Bond, but if you research fly by wire, it is a new technology that is available on these planes.  Which is curious why Boeing is not talking ...
• Once the cargo and passengers were in Diego Garcia, they were disposed and the plane was then broken down, tied to submarines and dumped in the deepest part of the Pacific Ocean where no one will really find it. 
• And according to that news outlet in India, the nuclear device was recently detonated in White Sands, New Mexico ... thus ending the threat. 
• There are a lot of reports that the GRU, Russian Intelligence, was tracking all of this and has records of the flight / our capture of it.  Oh and plus tons of great blogs that make up random things.  Some even have connect this story to the sinking of the Korean Ferry and the fight in the Ukraine. 

Tons of weird stories, but here's my thoughts b/c I'm bored and no one reads this blog so I'm safe to ramble out loud: 

• I'm not a conspiracy theory type, but someone has this plane.  A military group (or potentially terrorist) took the plane 
• If terrorist took it and its a test run, then why would they claim responsibility? Who's to say they, or Iran, didn't hack Boeing's fly by wire and countries like China, Russia and the US are freaking out a bit and trying to sort out the issue. 
• And what better place to take a plane ... the only place in the world where the local air defense are a joke and the corrupt governments can be easily paid off.
• Back to Russia ... their government hates POTUS and his puppets and if they had info that we took the plane, then they would share it.  Valdy is empire creating and would shame us as quickly as possible.  
• Same with China ... if they had real proof we did it, then they would say the same. They have no love for POTUS and his puppets either.

So what really happened? I don't think we will know for 100 years.  This will be an Argo-esque oscar award winning movie that Ben Affleck's grand kids will produce once the files are de-classified.  

Really, Lebron James?

According to Bleacher Report, Lebron James is the most popular athlete searched in the state of Georgia. I just did a poll of 20 people and not a single one said Lebron James. I'm kinda curious of what they searched because if they searched, "Lebron Hate", "Lebron Passes out of every big shot", "Lebron Bald", "Lebron < Jordan" ... then ok, I guess he would be the most searched player.

An interesting article and I was curious to see where the first MLS player landed, but then I thought the mouse was too far away from my hand and lost interest.

RIP Ultimate Warrior

He was by far my favorite wrestler when I was a kid. I still remember sitting in my living room watching Warrior defeat Hulk Hogan in Wrestlemania V (I think it was V, I have no idea). Even in college, I watched the WWF just to watch that crazy man run around the ring and go nuts. In fact, during a surprise appearance on WWF Raw, my roommate bet me that I couldn't guess who the man was standing in the rafters in hiding ... I said, "well the ultimate warrior of course" and won all the money in his wallet.  Too bad it was only $7.

RIP Ultimate Warrior ... just know that you live on in all of my running mixes with your entrance music.

CNN wants to know ..

Anyone seen this plane? Seriously, please let CNN know ... and please tell them so they will cover something else.

Love all the conspiracy theories. I'm not saying I believe them but here are a few reasons why we might:

• Plane disappeared in an area where local radar is really poor
• We all know China, USA, Australia and UK have satellites in the area and the technology can read the time off my watch (but geopolitics mean we will never see that footage)
• Both China and the US / UK have Spec Op bases in the area - covert but not enough that they haven't been portrayed in a Transformers movie or an episode of the Unit.
• The debris is in probably the most remote, unknown place in the world. It could be on the moon and easier to access. 
• The crew on board doesn't make sense ... lots of engineers, nuclear knowledge, some defectors from Iran and an ex-SAS solider 
• And then there's the Marsek Alabama theory (see Captain Phillips for background).  Been confirmed that cargo from the Alabama (were two ex-NAVY SEALS were murdered for doing heroin - and family, other soldiers confirmed they weren't the drug type) was on board the flight.
• You add points 4 and 5 together ... plus two potential Iranian defectors on board ... plus a bunch of engineers and maybe a few SAS kids and you got yourself a conspiracy theory

I'm still trying to convince people that Alf was onboard, he ate a cat, vomited and then transported the plane to a new dimension because he was embarrassed. 

And I'm back ... again ... and again

So I've quit writing a few times (dozens) and finally realized I should either put up or shut up ... so I'm going to start writing again. Let's just hope this phase lasts longer b/c I'm not sure I have any readers aside from my wife, Captain Fry and my mom.   So some quick updates: 

• Today is MLB opening day ... greatest day of the year and super wife even sent me a giant smile balloon and candy at work to celebrate.  Of course, I've had a few rough months at the ole PR factory so the gift couldn't come at a better time. 
• The pup is amazing ... she turns six months this week and she's simply amazing.  
• Planning a trip to Washington DC in May and super excited.  The wife and I are excited to hit up the Nation's capital and see there government in action. So far, we have tours of the Capital, State Department and fingers crossed for the White House.
• Non Joe Biden quote of the day, "I should have studied more in school so I wouldn't have been stuck in this situation."  

So much more to come but I leave you with a few Winston Churchill quote to think on until I'm back:

This is probably not how you win affection from Vlady ...

Hillary Clinton was at a fundraiser last night and had some choice words for Premiere Putin. Appears, she doesn't care for his action and likens him to Hitler.  I don't necessarily disagree with her, but I'd have to say that analogy may not be the best ... seeing how the Germans and the Russian's don't love each other. 

Which brings me to another point, I don't see how the negotiations between Merkel and Putin will go well. The media keeps portraying a strong partnership between the Germans and the Russians. I suppose no on asked the Germans or the Russians about their partnership because history doesn't seem to agree with that relationship.  And from personal reflection (when I lived over there), they don't like each other.

Anywhoo, some of Hillary's comments from Politico:

“She talked about how what Putin is doing now is similar to what Hitler did, essentially providing these ethnic Russians in the Crimea region access back to Russia,” a second attendee told BuzzFeed. “And that it was destabilizing.”

Interesting video from ABC ... the comments and the reaction is pretty amazing. I've seen the video in multiple places and it is certainly sparking some unique conversations.  It's worth a watch ... and it beats the typical clips they do where a 9 year old is trying to buy meth in a Macys.

Cold War Part Deux

Looks like our boy Vlady is doing a little more than saber rattling.  I've been glued to the coverage but it looks like we are going to see the might of the Russian army in a few hours.  It's no surprise that he is going to take Crimea to protect this "forever" fleet (I think the English called their fleet something similar in the late 1700s and I believe it wasn't around forever).

The conflict will kick off and it will get ugly.  Of course, the good ole US of A of Obama has zero foreign policy and no clue what to do.  Our government's posturing is embarrassing and there's really nothing we can do. We've let Vlady do what he wants for the last 4 years and he could invade Europe and we wouldn't be able to do much.  I'd love to say that NATO will help out, but outside of the UK, there's not much might behind that NATO force.

Then again, everyone thought the Russians would breeze through Chechnya and Grozny ... that didn't turn out very well for them.
